THE THING (1982) - John Carpenter Deleted Stop Motion

John Carpenter was the director of this now, cult classic. He unfortunately was critical of the finished stop motion Blair Monster stop motion shots. As usual, the studios in general put deadline pressures to rush & complete the scenes often resulting in mis-communication issues between 'front office & the director' and the artists, special effects crew.
